100% support this facility. Pickleball has helped me get my health back in order. The ability to play rain or shine within a 15 minute drive would be amazing

I think the indoor courts would be amazing for our citizens of all ages to enjoy this new facility. It can either be ran by diadem or our own city. I don’t t think it would be that complicated. Most places charge $10 per hour per person. If citizens could get 50% off and some days during off peak hours for free would be great. We don’t have a facility like this down south and it would be great to bring in money to use for other things in the future.  Indoor facilities can charge for memberships, leagues, lessons, and rentals.
       •   Food/beverage vendors, pro shops, and sponsorship opportunities can drive additional revenue. Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in the U.S., and indoor facilities future-proof the city against rising demand.
As Miami develops its sports and recreation identity, indoor courts position the city as a leader in pickleball culture.

I am against the idea of using a third-party vendor for the indoor pickleball court funded by taxpayer money. It feels like taxpayers are essentially paying twice—first to construct the facility and then again to an outside party for its use. I believe the village should manage this program directly, allowing all profits to go to the village rather than just a small percentage.

Additionally, it seems that the terms of this contract are backwards. Ideally, we should aim for a higher percentage rate initially until we recover our upfront investment.
