I am in favor of Agenda item 11C sponsored by Vice Mayor Mark Merwitzer. It is important for the Mayor and the Council to make it as easy as possible for residents to participate in meetings and their voices heard by elected officials. Thank you.
I fully agree with this proposal, it will restore the right of residents to be heard and consequently their active participation in important issues related to our community.

As someone who has attended numerous meetings, I would appreciate the items that are up for public comment be moved to the beginning of the agenda (after recognition and proclamations) with the "business" items that serve the purpose of informing the Council and residents being addressed after items that are more likely to generate public participation and comment.
