There are Several statistical benefits associated with having a walkable passive green space community park:
1.Property Values: Proximity to green spaces, especially walkable parks, is associated with higher property values tend to command higher prices and experience increased demand.
2.Physical Health: Studies show increased walking in such environments contributes to better overall fitness levels.
3.Mental Well-being: Research indicates that spending time in nature promotes mental well-being by reducing stress, anxiety, and depression.
4.Social Interaction: People are more likely to engage in recreational activities, group gatherings, and social events in these areas, fostering a sense of belonging and connectedness.
5.Environmental Benefits: Walkable green spaces contribute to environmental sustainability by reducing carbon emissions associated with transportation. They also enhance air quality, mitigate urban heat island effects, and support biodiversity conservation.
6.Economic Impact:Green spaces can have a positive economic impact on local businesses (we have just on US 1 bike shops, outdoor exercise clothing stores, libraries/bookstores) that would see your Neighbors within a half mile, increase spending on these passive recreational activities, and enhance the overall appeal of the community, contributing to economic growth and vitality.
Ask yourself, these are things we want beyond our four walls and fences. A True Village of Parks.
